We enjoyed
a fabulous Fourth of July banquet with our Senior Missionary friends. We
ordered in Kentucky Fried Chicken and A&W root beer. Each couple
contributed to the feast by bringing salads, chips, carrot cake, brownies,
baked beans, sweet potato casserole, and chocolate chip cookies. The food was
great, but we got a few tears as we pledged allegiance to the flag and sang our
anthems. We missed making homemade ice cream with our family and shooting off
fireworks in our circle with our children and grandchildren. We’re glad that we
have such good friends here who have become like family to us. Several of the
couples who will soon be leaving shared their experience sand testimonies with
us.
