Büdingen is a town in the Wetteraukreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is known for its medieval stronghold, which is still in good condition. It has beautiful timbered houses. It is situated in a wet and sometimes swampy valley. The castle and the old town were built on centuries-old oak planks, set up on beech props. Therefore, the water level has to be kept relatively high so that no air can reach these foundations.
The walls of this quaint town are very old and embedded with plaques and sculpture. It took us back to olden times, even in the way people decorate their window sills. Can you imagine having an interior design store set up right on the street in front of your house? We loved this picturesque place.
They have cute cats here in Germany and cool armor.
