Stake Conference

We Loved the Music at Stake Conference! 

Everyone turns out for Stake Conference. The building buzzes with boisterous greetings with kisses on both cheeks and bulges to capacity with every seat filled. With only a couple of dozen singing in the choir, they are undaunted and lift their voices over the joyful visiting. The chorister jumps up from the audience and strides up to the stand. With a broad, beautiful smile, she waves her arm with enthusiasm launching us into―"For the Strength of the Hills.” 

The organist, a man with shoulder- length, wavy hair and a white beard isn't shy about turning up the foot pedals full throttle. Totally into the music, he sways as he plays. Of course, with the contagious enthusiasm of the conductor and the organist, the congregation bursts forth in fortissimo voce — singing simultaneously in both English and German -- a wonderful joyful sound of praise to the Lord. The music alone is a convincing testimony of our love for one another and for our Savior.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness:
